to bring to your attention. this coming to us out of oregon. in fact, a suburb of portland, oregon. you can see emergency vehicles are responding to a shopping center where apparently an active shooter is inside the mall. take a look at the number of cars that are in the parking lot and being that this is peak christmas shopping season, you can imagine there are probably quite a few people inside that mall at this time. we don't know much about this but we have been told that there are possibly multiple victims. again, this is an active shooter and a breaking situation and you can see that some of the emergency vehicles are still arriving on the scene. again, a suburb of portland, oregon. these pictures coming to us from the helicopter live courtesy of our affiliate, katu. we will keep an eye on this story for you and as we zoom in to see if we can see a stretcher is coming out of that ambulance but it looks like it's an empty one. at this point, only some of the reports suggesting there have been multiple victims but we don't know if there have been any people killed. we will continue to g

and southwestern portions of oregon, the good news we're expecting a lull, as far as any rainfall goes until monday. it will kick off the work week. as we head into tuesday we'll actually see another storm start to impact northern california and the pacific northwest so again we're expecting more moisture and the ground is already saturated from all of the storms impacting the west coast through the work week. and 50, to 70 miles per hour across the northern rockies and portions of california and a number of wind warnings and also some wind advisories in effect out here because of the stormy weather pattern that's in place. as we take a look at the future radar, basically the next 48 hours, a bit of a lull in monday, as far as rainfall through california and the next system arrives producing heavy rain across many of the same areas and already had to deal with it and as we head into some of the higher elevations you're talking snow for the northern rockies and also the cascades across parts of washington and oregon. right now, again, most of it's wrapping up. that's good news, seattle, portland dea

a bit of snow in california, still a foot of snow across portions of cascades and washington and oregon we're talking close to two feet. very good news for anyone doing skiing. good news is this storm system is on the move we'll finally start to see improvement in weather conditions across portions of the west coast, seattle, down to california. christmas leave looks more tranquil. that snow will dumping snow in portions of rockies and colorado and wyoming. we'll be accumulating snowfall and eventually this storm is going to head into the center of the country. it will be a pretty strong storm and very cold air with it. so definitely we're going to be talking about snow accumulations texas panhandle, parts of arkansas and missouri and illinois. some of these countries don't see a white christmas. so we're talking about quite a bit of snow, up to six inches locally and higher amounts, a winter storm watch has been issued across the state of oklahoma. good news for anyone that wants snow in the center of the country. christmas eve, messy day out in southeast and thunderstorms ahead of tha

breaking news throughout the night and in to the morning about the shooting in portland, oregon. this is the holiday season and as bad as it was the killer could have made his appearance not on a tuesday but on a friday or saturday with more kids and people around. that said it was bad enough as it was. two dead and others wounded. as always a lot of sadly ly walking from the back of my store toward the front when i heard the first gunshot. my first thought was something large has fallen but they were within a half second of each other and by the third shot, i thought, this is happening this is real. these are gunshots and this is going on. i changed glances with my manager and it was go time that we needed to get to safety. we were escorting guests that were in our store as well as guests in the corridor of the mall in the hallway and other employees who work at kiosks that are throughout the middle of the mall and in to our back room. as these shots were being fired. >> taylor, you have a security gate at the store that you work in. were you able to get that security gate clos
